Baby Harper's family is one of my favorite kind of clients - a referral. It means so much to me when a client gives my name to a friend of theirs to get photos that they will love and cherish just as much as my client has. Of course being an adorable baby helps too. Melissa and Doug's 9th Anniversary Portrait Session at Piedmont Park in Atlanta, GA
Check out Melissa and Doug's adorably fun 9th anniversary portrait session at Piedmont Park. I knew Melissa and Doug would be a fun couple when they introduced themselves and said, but we're not that Melissa and Doug - referring to the toy manufacturer. Melissa and Doug met in Detroit, and moved to Atlanta so Doug could do his residency and Melissa taught 1st grade. Currently they live in Michigan, have been married for 9 years and have 4 kids! They were on vacation in Atlanta without the kids and decided to have a fun portrait session with just the two of them. They picked Piedmont Park because they lived down the street from the park when they lived in Atlanta. They created many memories at the park, including taking their dog Koda to the dog park and welcoming their first born and taking her for walks. They even took her photo at the park for their very first Christmas card!

I was so thrilled to photograph newborn baby Elizabeth and her family. I'd met her parents and sister Claire many times as I walked around my neighborhood. I live just a few houses up, and Claire loves to wave at the dogs as we walk by! Here are the photos from our session.

One of my favorite parts of a ceremony is the children involved. They are adorable whether they do everything right or do everything wrong! There were 8 children who walked down the aisle in this ceremony and they did an amazing job. Only a few tears were shed, and everyone made it to the front. I was quite impressed. And of course there was cuteness all around.Rachel and Alec's wedding was a lovely combination of a non-denominational ceremony with Jewish traditions. Both of Rachel's parents walked her down the aisle to the stunning floral chuppah. The parents of both the bride and groom stood with them as they exchanged rings. Rachel and Alec read the vows they'd written to one another, after which Alec stomped on and broke the glass. Obviously the ceremony was sealed with a kiss!

Thomas is 6 months old so we headed over to The State Botanical Garden of Georgia for some photos. Six months is such a fun age - Thomas was full of smiles. And William is such a proud big brother!

Holly & Todd's Wedding Ceremony in The Day Chapel at The State Botanical Garden of Georgia in Athens
Holly and Todd were such a joy to work with! We started with a first look and the expression on Todd's face when he saw his bride was priceless. Holly and Todd had a small wedding party including three of Holly's closest friends and Todd's son and his daughter. They had a lovely ceremony in one of my favorite locations - The Day Chapel at The State Botanical Garden of Georgia. With the fall weather and gorgeous leaves as a backdrop, there wasn't much more one could ask for!

Last summer I met Holly and Todd at The State Botanical Garden of Georgia in Athens for their engagement session. We had such a fun time. I can't remember the last time I've laughed so much! It was obvious to me that not only do these two have a blast together, they truly love and respect one another as well. And I believe you'll see both in the photos.
Newborn Baby JP's Photo Session in Atlanta, GA
Kelsey & Preston's son JP is just precious! He was an early arrival, so I photographed his session after he came home from the NICU. He was three weeks old, but still let us curl him up and take adorable sleepy newborn photos. The book was a gift given to Kelsey and Preston at their baby shower, and what a sweet idea it is. The nursery has a world travel theme, so Kelsey's vintage suitcases were a perfect prop. Check out this adorable baby boy!

Axley and Kealey are the adorable children of one of my dearest friends, Amy. (She also happens to be one of Atlanta's best realtors!) She and I were best friends as kids. We were on swim team, in ballet class, and in girl scouts together. We spent every weekend together and even ran a babysitting business together! She's one of my favorite clients, not only because of our friendship, but also because her kids are so sweet and polite. For our most recent fall family session we chose Winn Park, which is located in Ansley Park where we grew up. Here are a few of my favorite photos from the session.The strongest Dad in the world! So I was looking back in the blog before I posted this, and I realized that I've missed posting this family since Kealey was born!! I can assure you it was a mistake in the normal course of business. One Year Old Ayla Jane's Fall Family Session at Dudley Park in Athens Georgia
Casey and Alex got married at The State Botanical Garden of Georgia in Athens in the Fall of 2012. Two years later they added the absolutely adorable Ayla Jane to their family. And this past fall, when she was one year old, I took their family's photos at Dudley Park. She is seriously the cutest baby - and was determined to be grumpy the whole time! But not to worry, we captured every smile and I think her personality really shines through.I have to say that I LOVE the fall leaves in the background of these photos. I mean, they are just delicious - as is Ayla Jane!!Here's what Casey, Ayla Jane's mom, had to say about the session. "First, just let me say, you are a miracle worker. Betz & Chris' Wedding at The Taylor Grady House in Athens Georgia
I met Betz at a wedding I photographed in 2010.* She noticed me taking a candid photo of her during the reception, and sweetly made a comment to me about not liking photos of herself. Well, I thought she looked gorgeous who I showed her the photo I'd just taken on the back of my camera. She agreed that it was a great photo, and said that if she ever got married she'd hire me as her photographer. And what do you know!? She was dating the father of the groom at that wedding and five years later they did get married. I was thrilled to have the honor of capturing the amazingly sweet wedding day of Betz and Chris at The Taylor Grady House on May 9, 2015 in Athens, Georgia.*Vicki and John were married at The State Botanical Garden of Georgia in Athens on April 10, 2010.I love the koozie that they had as favors - It's Never Too Late To Live Happily Ever After!!This is Chris' son John, whose wedding I photographed in 2010.And this is Vicki, John's wife.Congratulations Betz and Chris!
Back Yard Birthday Party in Clermont, GA
I can't tell you how perfect this Back Yard Birthday Party was! It was their mom's 60th, and the kids threw her a party to remember. A Divine Event created the perfect ambiance, including using the families furniture. We had a fun family portrait session, followed by dinner as the sun set. Newborn Baby Thomas in Athens, GA
I met newborn Baby Thomas when he was one week new! He's a sweet addition to one of my favorite families. I thought it would be fun to see what his big brother William looked like at the same age. I thought it was so funny to find such this mirror image photo! How adorable.Above is baby Thomas, and below is his big brother William, back when he was also at just one week old. The photo is even on the same blanket I think!I've been photographing William and Thomas' family for 3 years now. The newborn photo above was in December of 2012. This adorable photo below is William at 6 months old.The photo above here is William at 18 months, and in the one below he's 2 years old.The photo above is technically the first photo of Thomas, before he was ready to make his world debut. And William is almost 2 and a half years old. And now, as seen below, they are a family of 4. And William is pretty proud of being a great big brother.Congratulations Megan and Brad.

Nhan-Ai & Jonathan's Wedding at The Old Courthouse on the Square in Decatur, GA
It seems like a good time to blog Nhan-Ai and Jonathan's wedding for two reasons. First, I just moved to Decatur, which is where the Old Courthouse on the Square is located. Second, I'm feeling quite reminiscent of the beautiful spring weather they had! I'm so tired of all the rain.
